Position Summary:

Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Assists with keeping patient care area and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.Participates actively in performance improvement, departmental meetings and continuous quality improvement. Maintains a positive working relationship both within the department and with other departments for the benefit of the patient. Assists patients with personal care needs (dressing, toileting, ambulation, etc.)

Reports to: Senior Director-Surgery Services


Minimum Qualifications:

Licenses:

Current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the Kentucky Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry.

Certifications:

Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
