This opportunity is Enhanced Weekends (Eves/Overnights); must work 2 shifts on the weekend EVERY weekend, 7:00 pm-7:00 am.  Additional shifts during the week available.  

Part Time (23-37 hours) or Full Time (37.5+ hours) schedules available.

Pay is commensurate with years of C.N.A. certification/experience.  Generous extra pay for this schedule!

Responsibilities:
The Shahbaz CNA provides assistance to residents according to the individualized care plan under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include all components of primary care with a special focus on caring for residents' needs beyond the medical model. As a trained Shahbaz, you will care for the residents in their home here at St. John's in a meaningful way, by incorporating activities that the individual would like to have as part of their day, while responding to their physical care needs in a way that promotes respect and choice.   

Qualifications/Requirements:
HS degree or equivalent required  

Current NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license required  

Ability to complete comprehensive nursing orientation   

Willingness to work weekends on a rotating basis is required for full/part time schedules  

Required to attend full orientation  

Reliable transportation  

Compliance with NYS Department of Health immunization requirements.

Physical Requirements  

 Stands, sits, and walks most of the day. Frequent moving and ability to lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform activities as defined in skills check list.  

Exposure to Conditions  

 May be exposed to infectious diseases, odors and psycho-behavioral situations
