This is an Hourly position. This position offers a $2.25/hour 3rd shift differential. This position offers a $1.75/hour weekend differential. Overview Sign On Bonus Eligible! $2000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment UNIT OVERVIEW: OSF HealthCare Divine Mercy Continuing Care Hospital provides compassionate care for patients who need extra support as they transition from one care setting to the next. The hospital offers all-private rooms and houses a 10-bed Med Surg unit, the patient population on med surg includes, but is not limited to, ICU graduates, post-stroke and post-trauma, acute debilitation, stable vents, long-term IV antibiotics, wound care, antibiotics, and neuro cases. The OSF Divine Mercy Continuing Care Hospital provides 24-hour clinical care seven days a week in both rehabilitation and long-term acute care settings. The care team, led by physicians, conducts daily visits to review and assess each patient's condition, aiming to support their journey to wellness. These services are tailored to meet the complex medical needs of our diverse patient population. POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Experience Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
