Under The Delegation And Supervision Of An Rn, Provides Clinical Support With Basic Nursing Care And Patient Monitoring For The General Welfare And Safety Of All Patients. Communicates to licensed personnel any changes noticed inn patients condition, or any problems with treatments or devices. 1 2. Assists with basic patient care including but not inclusive to AM and PM care , vital signs, toileting, I&O, feeding, activities of daily living, transport of patients throughout hospital, responds to call lights promptly and provides necessary assistance. Orients patients and families to the unit - sets up equipment in patient?s rooms to prepare for admissions. 1 3. 1 4. Maintains clean and orderly patient care, storage, pantry and utility areas. 2. Adheres to the hospital exposure control plans/blood-borne and airborne pathogens Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department to provide quality patient care. 2 3. 2 4. Acts as a resource and role model Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to safety of the organization and specific job related hazards. 3 2. Qualifications EDUCATION : High school graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE : Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred. Previous behavioral health experience preferred SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals Knowledge of basic medical terminology a plus Basic computer knowledge is a plus Ability to move or lift patients and equipment LICENSURE: Current RI Nursing Assistant License Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire CPI training within 1 yr of employment
