**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** **Description:** Job Summary / Purpose Works with nursing staff, residents, families and other members of the health care team. Supervises the residents. Reports to charge nurse and LTC supervisor Essential ● Provides direct care to adult and geriatric LTC residents - Provides supervision of residents who need supervision in performing their own ADL’s and assist as needed - Provide opportunities for residents to maintain their independence. Ambulates residents who are able to ambulate. Report to charge nurse or supervisor when ambulating becomes difficult or unsafe. ROM to maintain status of the resident as directed. - Uses correct body mechanics when moving, lifting and transferring residents to promote safety of the resident - Uses mechanical devices to assist with moving, lifting and transferring of residents to promote safety of the resident as well as themselves - Communicate changes in resident’s condition to appropriate members of the health care team - Follow directions of charge nurse or supervisor with regard to implementing interventions to reduce pressure ulcer development - Follow universal precautions for infection control - Works to enhance resident satisfaction and addresses problems as the occur Works to promote a positive atmosphere in LTC - Works to emulate mercy Mission of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence each Day **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
