CNA/Residential Aide - 91 Pitt Street
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee late night/ morning medication process and monitor resident compliance in taking their medication; ensure compliance procedure with regulatory agency guidelines. Generate monthly MAR sheets. Collaborate with LPN and provide ongoing monitoring of MAR sheets. Escort clients to hospital when necessary. Assist in monitoring operations booth, complete logbook entries, monitor and screen telephone calls. Provide crisis intervention. Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned. HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week + Friday-Tuesday 11:30pm-8am QUALIFICATIONS:HS Diploma or GED required. CNA certification required. Basic computer literacy required; good writing and oral communication skills. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: BRC's Casa de Los Vecinos is a transitional community residence targeting formerly homeless clients who are either mentally ill or dually diagnosed as mentally ill and chemically addicted. Funded and licensed by the NYS Office of Mental Health with additional funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Casa de Los Vecinos is located on Manhattan's Lower East Side and has a capacity of 32 beds. The mission of the program is to provide a safe and supportive environment where residents take part in rehabilitation interventions that will assist them in the attainment of their work, social and community living goals. A variety of services are available, including case management, substance abuse groups, medication monitoring, daily skills training and recreational activities.
