Good Shepherd Communities is looking for some caring Resident Assistants to join our team in preparation for our upcoming CNA Training course.
Position Detail
Hired as casual/per diem employment status. Resident Assistant shifts = day, evening, weekends
CNA Training Course availability is Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm with hours available as a Resident Assistant on off Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
In class time will last around 3.5 week with 1.5 weeks of clinical time
Once the CNA certification is passed employment opportunities may be available.
Position Summary
The Resident Assistant maintains the unit's cleanliness and assists nursing staff in meeting resident needs with the explicit intent that these positions do not provide hands-on, direct care to the residents. They are responsible for the supportive work to provide an acceptable living environment for the residents.
With successful work as a Resident Assistant, you will have the opportunity to join our upcoming CNA Training course.
CNA Trainees will complete in class and clinical hours in accordance with NYS ProMetrics requirements in order to take the NYS authorized test to become a certified. Roughly a 4.5- week course.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications: BLS and/or CPR certification preferred.
Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write and speak the English language
