**Direct Hire - CNC Machinist - 25/hr to 30/hr** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Boring Mill Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will operate a Toshiba CNC Boring Mill and must be capable of reading and interpreting shop drawings, calculating locations and compound angles using trigonometric functions, determining proper tooling, and setting appropriate feeds and speeds for material processing. The position offers a standard shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. **Responsibilities** + Understand the scope of each job and the time frame for completion. + Clarify any confusing or unclear drawing details. + Gather necessary tooling and job set-up components. + Set up jobs securely and logically, with the ability to lift fifty to seventy-five pounds. + Have the foreman check each job set-up. + Ensure clean and adequate coolant in the sump, replenishing as necessary. + Maintain proper levels of lubricants in the machine, adding as needed. + Machine each piece efficiently and professionally. + Complete detailed inspection reports while the piece is on the table and before changing its position. + Remove work pieces from the table and clean the table for the next set-up, with labor assistance if necessary. + Record time spent on each job or job sub-set at the completion of each job or sub-set, and at the end of each shift. **Qualifications** + CNC Vertical Boring Mill experience + GD&T experience + VTL experience + Program editing knowledge (Mastercam) + G & M Codes + Full CNC Setups + Large Part Machining + Grinding **Why Work Here?** We offer great benefits starting from Day 1 and provide opportunities for optional overtime, up to 15 hours per week. We currently have eight machinists on staff and are looking to expand to twelve. We recently installed a lightly used Boring Mill and maintain a very laid-back shop atmosphere. Our tool room is very clean and organized.
