**Job Title: Cabinet Maker/Mill Work Carpenter** **Job Description** We are looking for a talented cabinet maker/mill work carpenter to join our shop and installation team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the carpentry industry and be adept at machine operation. This role involves combining technical woodworking expertise with a keen attention to detail in both installation and machine setup. **Responsibilities** + Interpret architectural and shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints. + Set up woodworking machines, including saws, milling, and sanding machines for manufacturing components. + Lift and secure large wood pieces onto machines. + Operate woodworking machines to create parts to project specifications. + Use hand and power tools effectively. + Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, oiling, and replacing blades. + Assist in the installation of completed pieces as needed. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. + Experience in carpentry and woodworking. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Experience with machine setup and operation. + Ability to lift and move heavy wood pieces. + OSHA 10 certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 10 years of experience in the woodworking industry, either in a shop or design field. + Proficiency in CNC programming and design. + Familiarity with design software. + Experience with Biesse CNC machines is a plus. + Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings, conduct material take-offs, and quantify materials. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive company medical plan, a 401k with match, and paid holidays. You should be prepared to move items up to 50 lbs and operate in a hands-on, collaborative setting. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Branford, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
