CNC Field Service Technician

Position: CNC Field Service Technician 

Shift: 1st   Hours:7:30am -5:00pm        Type: Full-Tme         

Our client is looking for a responsible Field Service Technician. This is a Direct Placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need 2-5 years of related service technician experience.

Advanced ability to read an electrical schematic including both high voltage (220-440v), low voltage (12v-24v), and combined systems. Be able to combine understanding of electricity along with the use of a schematic and multimeter for troubleshooting. Advanced understanding and use of a multimeter for testing voltage, current, and resistance. Knowledge of PLCs and how they work together with a power supply, inputs and output, various switches, and an HMI. Knowledge of servo drives and motion control. Understand how to read a pneumatic schematic. Have achieved the level of advanced mechanic, understand the proper use of all common hand and power tools, an be able to display advanced ability to disassemble and re-assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Ability and aptitude to learn the basics of a CNC lathe control (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, etc.) and lathe programming as it applies to magazine bar feeding and CNC lathe part processing. Ability to professionally interface with key customer (end user and OEM-dealer) contacts prior to, during, and after the bar feeder installation and training. Travel: 50-75% overnight travel     Requirements High School Diploma or GED Communication skills Customer service Computer skills Field service technicians log information into digital customer files, making basic computer skills essential for this job Mechanical skills Field service technicians use their hands and various tools to Install and repair equipment, which requires good mechanical skills
