**CNC Grinder Machinist** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for running parts in multiple different CNC machines, primarily grinding machines, but also mills and lathes. The position involves getting materials and feeding them through the machine. If issues arise, candidates will notify the leads for adjustments. The overall goal is to learn how to perform changeovers and setups long-term with the team. Major Responsibilities: • Operate machinery such as CNC grinders, mills, lathes, or other specified equipment under supervision. • Perform machine setups, including cleaning, calibration, and adjustments to start production cycles. • Feed raw materials into machines and monitor machine operations during production to ensure optimal performance. • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality standards. • Conduct periodic tests of machine operations and troubleshoot issues that may arise during shifts. • Record production output, including approved units and any defects or flaws identified. • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the work area. • Adhere to all safety guidelines, company rules, policies, and procedures without exception. • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. **Hard Skills** + 6 months+ of machine operating experience (or schooling) + Ability to stand, bend, lift and move for 8 hours per day + Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
