CNC Grinder I - 2nd Shift

Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible. The first shift CNC Grinder I is responsible for performing various types of manual grinding on products and partners with the Production Supervisor to ensure the machine shop meets daily production and quality goals.

This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL.  The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, and overtime is routine.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In accordance with FAA regulations, this is a safety sensitive job and is therefore subject to random drug and or alcohol testing.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Select proper holding devices for work, i.e., chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc. to set-up and perform basic ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter), surface grinding to deburr parts during machining operations, and on manual equipment based on blueprints and/or set-up sheets.

Inspect and check work using precision measuring equipment, optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc. and complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and data.

Perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

High School diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and completed trade school or apprenticeship program, or two (2) years of related experience.  

Good knowledge of shop math and familiar with use of precision measuring equipment (i.e., optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc.).

Work overtime as required. Frequent bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours); frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. from floor to bench; occasional lifting to 50 lbs. Good eye and hand dexterity.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

DBS (Danaher Business System).

Quality measures, AQL levels and inspection methods.

computers, CNC equipment, CNC controls, and tool offsets.
