CNC Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift
**Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Machinist** **Job Description** Seeking a 2nd shift CNC Lathe Machinist candidate to perform full set-ups in a job shop environment. Candidates will be responsible for troubleshooting machines, reading complex prints, and setting machines up to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002. The materials will be a variety of stainless and exotic materials such as stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, brass, etc. Live tooling experience is preferred. The shop has 5 different lathes, including dual spindle twin turrets. The average setup per shift is one, but this can vary depending on the complexity and nature of the job. **Responsibilities** + Perform full set-ups in a job shop environment. + Troubleshoot machines and read complex prints. + Set machines up to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002. + Work with various materials such as stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, and brass. + Utilize live tooling when available. + Operate and set up CNC lathes, including those with twin-turret and dual spindle. + Perform an average of one setup per shift, with variations based on job complexity and run time. + Handle parts ranging from 100 to 5,000 units. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of CNC lathe set-up experience. + 2+ years of machining experience in a medical or aerospace environment holding tolerances of +/- 0.0002. + Experience with live tooling or multi-axis machining preferred. + Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts. + Knowledge of tooling applications for exotic metals is a plus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Puma, Daewoo, and Doosan machines. + Experience in a job-shop environment. + Fanuc control experience. + Ability to work with parts the size of a fingernail. **Why Work Here?** The company offers a climate-controlled and super clean work environment. The dress code is casual with closed-toe shoes, no shorts, and PPE is required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $83200.00/yr. - Climate Controlled and super clean - Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%) - 2 weeks PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that - Average tenure is 10+ years - 12% shift differential - Life Insurance - Health, dental, vision, etc...
