Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production. The ideal candidate will notify the supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action, make recommendations for improvements in work methods, and maintain good housekeeping conditions while enforcing safety practices. Completing and maintaining required documentation is also part of this role.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production.Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.Make recommendations for improvements in methods of work performance.Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.Complete and maintain any required documentation.Learn the setup and operation of a unique machine and use problem-solving skills to keep it running.Operate a Mori machine to take precise measurements.Essential SkillsStrong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances and math skills.Understanding of basic tabletop gauges – Micrometers, Calipers, bore micrometers.Ability to read machining CNC programs and have a basic understanding of common 'G' and 'M' codes.Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.Experience with Index Multispindle machines.Specific controls used onsite - Fanuc controls.Machines experience - Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, and Index MS-25.Tool grinding experience.Understanding of GD&T and part drawings.Manual machining, manual mill/lathe experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood verbal and written communication skills.Organization and time management skills.Problem-solving and analysis skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in an aerospace machine workshop with multi-spindle machines. Shift options include: weekday day shift (Mon-Thurs 5am-5:30pm), weekday graveyard shift (Mon-Thurs 5pm-5:30am), weekend day shift (Fri-Sun 5am-5:30pm), and weekend graveyard shift (Fri-Sun 5pm-5:30am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00
