Job Description
We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for the night shift who will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathe machining centers. You will perform 1-3 setups per shift on Okuma-Howa Lathes, including Bar Feeder Lathes, Single and Twin Spindle Lathes, Index Lathes, and Custom-Thread Lathes. This role requires the ability to run two machines simultaneously, ensuring parts meet client specifications using micrometers and calipers.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Lathe machining centers.Run 1-3 setups per shift on Okuma-Howa Lathes.Operate Bar Feeder Lathes, Single and Twin Spindle Lathes, Index Lathes, and Custom-Thread Lathes.Run two machines simultaneously.Use micrometers and calipers to ensure parts are within client specifications.Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, and fixtures on machines using hand tools and micrometers/calipers.Read, understand, and edit programs for Bar Feeders.Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes based on the work schedule.Work with tolerances of +/- .001.Essential Skills2+ years of setup and operation of CNC Lathe machinery.Ability to perform minor edits on CNC lathe (bar feeder).Proficiency in changing tooling and making adjustments to CNC Lathe.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming experience is a plus.Experience with Swiss lathes is beneficial.Experience in a job shop environment is advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled area of the facility. You will be working in a smaller machine shop that produces parts for the medical industry. The hours for this position are on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 9:30pm-6:00am, with a $1/hr night shift premium. Pay range $22 - $26 depending on experience.
