CNC Lathe Machinist - 1st Shift (6am-230pm) - 23/hr to 25/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will adhere to production schedules, operate CNC machines, set up CNC machines, and ensure part specifications by observing and adjusting programs. The machinist will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, educating other machinists, and maintaining continuity among work shifts.

ResponsibilitiesAdhere to production schedules by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, locations, and machining parameters.Effectively operate CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.Set up CNC machines by programming, editing, installing, and adjusting tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops.Load raw material safely and verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.Ensure part specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and facing processes, taking measurements, and troubleshooting malfunctions.Follow and adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes.Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and reporting issues for repairs.Educate and train other machinists on production, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance policies and procedures.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment with natural and artificial light, exposure to ambient and controlled temperatures, light to moderate airborne graphite dust, and moderate noise. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, reach, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Effective communication in English is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00
