Job Description
A machine shop specializing in custom gears, machined parts, and assembly for the aerospace, defense, medical, commercial oil, power, and automotive industries is seeking a setup machinist in Anaheim, CA.
ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and check part dimensions with appropriate measuring instrumentsAccurately use measuring toolsUnderstand necessary company procedures relevant to the positionPerform in-process inspection of machined partsCommunicate effectively and demonstrate proven problem-solving abilitiesCollaborate with the Supervisor and Quality Department to ensure parts meet customer specificationsEssential SkillsExperience with CNC lathes, particularly Okuma CNC’s (LT300MY, LB3000, the person 370's, L250)Blueprint reading and inspection skillsAbility to set up and operate machines with light setup knowledgeExperience with aerospace parts and inspection tools/methods with tolerances up to .0005’’Mastercam programming experience or schoolingProficiency in using measuring instruments2+ years' experience in a precision machining environment (Operator) or a minimum of 5 years (Setup)Additional Skills & QualificationsG code knowledgeSupervisory experienceProven problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
You will be working in a machine shop with the following shifts available: 6:00AM - 2:30PM Monday through Friday or 2:00PM - 12:30AM Monday through Thursday (4/10 schedule).
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00
