**Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist (1st Shift)** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple set-ups each day, including custom machining and hard turning lathe operations. This role requires expertise in blueprint reading, program editing and modification, as well as working with Fanuc controls and G&M and conversational programming (Haas and Mazak). **Responsibilities** + Perform multiple set-ups each day, including custom machining. + Execute 3-5 set-ups on a hard turning lathe. + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Edit and modify CNC programs as needed. + Operate Fanuc controls efficiently. + Utilize G&M and conversational programming (Haas and Mazak). + Conduct first piece inspection to ensure quality. + Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges for precise measurements. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of CNC lathe experience. + Proficiency in set-up (offsets and tool changes). + Experience with micrometers and calipers. + Knowledge of Fanuc controls. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Forklift operation experience is a plus. + Knowledge of PLCs is an advantage. **Why Work Here?** We offer a great culture where everyone knows each other and helps out when needed. The dress code is jeans, steel-toed shoes, and a t-shirt. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
