Computer Numerical Control (CNC)Lathe Machinist

HOW A MACHINERY MAINTENANCE MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Set up and operate CNC machines, including HAAS, HURCO, TOYODA and DAEWOO   Set up and  productively operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations, with the ability to read and edit programs (G codes / M codes)Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operationsUse of both part probes and Renishaw tool settersSelect and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracyInspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specificationsMake adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product qualityClean and maintain machines on a daily basis to ensure optimal performanceFollow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machineryPrevious experience setting up and operating  CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment, FANUC, HURCO and HAAS controls.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC MachinistProficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculationsStrong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programmingMechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operationsAbility to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot machineryProficient in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instrumentsSecret clearance required.This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
