Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set-up Operator responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, setting up both prototype and established processes, and promoting on-time delivery through their performance efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and application of lean manufacturing and promote teamwork through their behavior.
ResponsibilitiesFollow prescribed standards of CNC Lathe operations and set-ups of established processes.Pay strong attention to detail, exhibit critical thinking skills, and meet set cycle times.Set up equipment to run production.Take an active role in organizing and improving current processes through SWI change suggestions.Proactively maintain established company policies and manufacturing strategies.Essential SkillsExperience with lathe, CNC, machine set-up, troubleshooting, and machine operation.High School Diploma or GED.CNC Machining Certificate or a minimum of 3 years as a Machine Shop Operator.Quality-conscious attitude and pride of ownership in designated responsibilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to accurately read blueprints.Skilled with portable measuring devices used in the production processes.Ability to read and comply with work instructions, quality documents, and other pertinent written material.Working knowledge of GD&T and mathematical formulas needed to calculate product dimensioning.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge and skills to pre-stage raw material, perform setups, conduct tool changes, run product, and make tool offsets for proven processes.Possession of a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform set-ups.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
