Job Description:
Basic Function
To proof out programs from the Engineering department and make acceptable first article parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receive set up information from the Engineering department and prepare tools and fixtures per Engineering instructionProof out and fine tune the programs to provide acceptable first article partsEliminate any possible discrepancies with best knowledgeMonitor quality of parts while it is in productionPerforms other work-related duties as assignedEducation and Experience
Required cutting tool knowledgeKnowledge of inspection skillsKnowledge of different CNC controlsKnowledge of differences between materialsBasic math skillsKnowledge of understanding blueprintsKnowledge of routingAbility to understand CNC programs and minor editing capabilitiesMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a machine shopKnowledgeable of the applicable QMS policies and procedures applicable to the positionTrained in the nonconforming material procedurePhysical Demands

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machine shop environment to include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals. Safety glasses must be worn at all times.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Compensation Information:
$26.06-$33.05
