Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machining Lead to coach and mentor our department of specialists, machinists, and apprentices. You will manage the workload, coordinate in-house and subcontracted CNC work, develop programs, and ensure product quality while meeting deadlines. This role requires the ability to manually write programs, analyze complex processes, and participate in cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods.
ResponsibilitiesCoach and mentor department specialists, machinists, and apprentices.Schedule and manage the workload of the department.Coordinate in-house die work and subcontracted CNC work.Develop programs for jobs and operate CNC machines when needed.Manually write programs at the machine controls.Manage product quality and ensure deadlines are met.Develop and maintain consistent standards for RTD.Analyze and write processes for complex work through machines.Assist in quoting CNC work when necessary.Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing processes or methods that affect quality.Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve problems, ensuring continuous improvement of processes and methods.Supervise communication between CNC teams on 1st and 2nd shifts.Provide support to shop supervisors.Sign in pieces for setup, including compound angle setups.Develop and implement procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations and ensure adherence.Multi-task several issues and jobs.Ensure the completion of all paperwork, records, and documents.Work overtime as needed to meet customer timelines.Follow all cleanup and housekeeping procedures.Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.Support the company's quality policy, ISO standards, 5S practices, LEAN initiatives, and world-class manufacturing.Commit to corporate goals, mission, and vision.Maintain regular physical attendance.Travel as required.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma7-10 years of CNC machining experienceKnowledge of CNC programming softwareProficiency in SolidWorks and CAD/CAMKnowledge of geometric tolerance and ability to read complex printsIntermediate use of Microsoft softwareAbility to read, analyze, and interpret blueprintsAbility to write reports, meeting minutes, and procedure manualsEffective communication skills for team interaction and conflict managementMathematical skills including probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometryAbility to calculate dimensions, tolerances, proportions, percentages, and ratiosProblem-solving skills to handle abstract and concrete variablesAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes operating CNC machines and manual programming at machine controls. You will work with industry software such as SolidWorks and CAD/CAM, and follow 5S practices and LEAN initiatives. Regular physical attendance is required, and you must be willing to travel as needed. The role also entails adhering to quality, safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00/yr.
