**Job Title: Lead Machinist / Supervisor**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Lead Machinist / Supervisor to oversee and direct the daily activities of our CNC work center. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC milling (3-4-5 axis equipment) and CNC lathes, and will be responsible for producing precision machined parts, maintaining quality and safety standards, and managing personnel and schedules to ensure work is completed on time.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage personnel and schedules to ensure work is completed according to expected delivery dates.
+ Produce precision machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
+ Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
+ Direct and oversee the day-to-day activities of the CNC work center.
+ Plan and schedule employees for machined parts by reviewing work order releases, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
+ Program mills by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensations, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
+ Set up mills by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and indicating vices.
+ Design and produce proper fixturing.
+ Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces.
+ Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, and adjusting and reprogramming controls.
+ Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
+ Complete preventive maintenance requirements, follow manufacturer's instructions, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repairs.
+ Document and communicate actions and irregularities to maintain continuity among work centers.
+ Complete production releases, customer service calls, expedites, and quality control sign-offs.
+ Accept ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
+ Estimate machining projects and perform inspection, G-code editing, and Mastercam programming.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with CNC milling (3-4-5 axis equipment) and CNC lathes.
+ Ability to set up and operate CNC machines.
+ Proficiency in programming mills and using CAD CAM software for 5-axis programming.
+ Strong blueprint reading skills.
+ Excellent organizational and housekeeping skills.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a large job shop fabrication and machine shop, which is not temperature controlled. You will work first shift hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime on Saturdays. This position offers a 9-month contract to hire or direct placement and operates on only one shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania.
