Start your new career as a CNC Machine Operator with MAU at GSC Power Division in North Charleston, SC. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will operate and set up CNC machines, monitor production runs, handle materials, ensure quality control, assist team members, and maintain equipment, while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, meaning the client could hire you directly.
What We Offer $20 – $23 per hour 1st shift, Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Health benefits, including telehealth medical services 401k and 401k matching Employee discounts Climate-controlled facility Referral program What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED Technical degree preferred 2+ years of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year of CNC machine set-up experience Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills Reliable, adaptable and detail-oriented Committed to upholding high-quality standards Familiarity with OKUMA OSP, FANUC, and G-code (preferred) Ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly Ability to stand for the entire shift Understanding of the automotive machine industry (preferred) What You’ll Do as a CNC Machine Operator Operate a variety of machines, including lathes, mills, grinders, and secondary equipment Efficiently set up machines and perform production changes as needed Start and end the day by properly warming up and shutting down machines Ensure consistent and high-quality output during machine operations Load raw materials and process parts into semi-automated machines Utilize precision measuring tools to verify the quality of parts Identify and report any machine or part-related issues to maintain quality standards Operate multiple machines simultaneously in a cell environment Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth production and workflow Maintain clean workspaces and ensure machines are in top working condition Perform other tasks as assigned
