Our client In the Medical industry is seeking a Machinist II to join their team. As a Machinist II, you will be part of the Machine Shop supporting the production of high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Machinist II**
**Location: Oak Harbor, WA**
**Pay Range: $20-$22.00/ hour DOE**
**What's the Job?**
+ Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce parts to design specifications
+ Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to monitor and ensure quality of production parts
+ Interpret engineering drawings and employ knowledge of GD&T to ensure quality during the manufacturing process
+ Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required
+ Actively seek opportunities to reduce machining inefficiencies and production cycle times
**What's Needed?**
+ High School diploma or equivalent
+ Education in math (Trig and Geometry)
+ Metalworking
+ Blueprint reading
+ Metrology
+ General machining principles obtained through community college, technical school, or previous work experience
+ Ability to make minor changes, as well as write and prove programs for basic parts from drawings using G&M codes
+ Ability to grind tools
+ Emotional stability to accept constructive criticism and the need to possibly redo work until it is correct
