Description

Operating machines, doing inspections on their own, Load material and devices, If they find parts that are not up to spec they have to inform their lead. Have to do a basic blueprint test, Math skills, have to document inspections, make sure machine is running.

Responsibilities

•\tAssumes responsibility for operating Vertical Machining Centers from written and verbal instructions per WI00004.9.

•\tReviews traveler, set-up instructions, drawings, inspection forms and any other relevant documentation for each job.

•\tFollows written and verbal instructions to loads raw material into vises and fixture.

•\tDeburrs in process and completed parts per instructions.

•\tInspects parts per MIR and other relevant documentation.

•\tAdvises set-up person or Production Lead of any non-conformance or other problems.

•\tPerforms these tasks in an efficient and effective manner.

•\tMaintains a clean and organized work area at all times.

•\tMakes suggestions to Production Lead & Production Manager regarding potential improvements in part processes as well as the Vertical Cell department.

•\tEnsures compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and all governmental regulations.

•\tPerforms other Duties as assigned by the Production Lead and Production Manager.

General Requirements

The Machine Operator position must have the skills and experience to operate machines in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. They must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with other team members, ensuring instructions are clear and concise. Because of safety and equipment risk it is important operators are at an appropriate skill level.

Skills Required

•\tShould be High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

•\tMust have sufficient experience with Vertical Machining Centers to operate in a safe and efficient manner.

•\tPreferably, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

•\tMust have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

•\tMust be able to use standard measuring tools effectively.

•\tMust have adequate math skills.

•\tMust be very detailed oriented with good personal organizational skills.

•\tMust be familiar with tooling, fixturing, indexers etc.

•\tMust be able to complete inspection documentation and determine when parts are out of tolerance.

•\tShould be able to train other operators in the process of manufacturing parts.

•\tMust have good manual dexterity and be able to lift 70lbs.

•\tShould have experience in an ISO 9001:2008 environment, 13485 would be helpful.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00
