Job Title: CNC Machine Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 1st shift CNC Machine Operator to operate CNC Mills and Lathes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all machined finishes meet quality standards. You will be responsible for planning your day according to work orders, maintaining machine conditions, and ensuring the smooth flow of production.

ResponsibilitiesPlan your day by reviewing work orders to determine priority sequences.Operate CNC Mills and Lathes, including swapping and touching off fixtures as necessary.Ensure machine conditions are adequate, including coolant percentage, tool life, alarms, and fluid levels.Verify that all machined finishes meet quality standards to avoid product flow interruptions.Maintain assigned machines in good working condition to minimize downtime.Log all downtime conditions due to tool or machine problems.Keep all logs current, including communication, productivity, and program run logs.Perform scheduled hosing down of the inside of all high-speed machines.Move completed products to the next workstation.Essential Skills3-5 years of CNC Operating Experience.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.Ability to use calipers and micrometers.Experience with CNC Mills and Lathes.Skill in using hand tools required for the job.Ability to stay focused to ensure minimal disruptions to product flow.Strong time management skills.Proficiency in reading and writing English.Ability to follow safety procedures.Capability to read, sort, check, and verify numbers.Basic arithmetic skills.Ability to learn CNC Controls.Quick identification of abnormalities in machining operations and finishes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with production and machine operation.Knowledge of hand tools.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a small, specialized shop that manufactures high-quality pistons from 2618 alloy forgings. The work environment is focused on maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Dress code includes standard safety attire appropriate for a manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
