Job Description
The CNC Machine Operator is a valued contributor responsible for producing machined parts by programming in G code, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and manual machines. The role involves maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will work with various metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum, using advanced machinery including mills, lathes, drill presses, and surface grinders. The work environment is designed to maintain high standards of safety and quality. This is an industrial shop environment that can be loud or dirty at times.
Schedule:
The position operates Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm.
ResponsibilitiesCapable of interpreting blueprints and CAD DrawingsRead and understand drawingsMachine set-up and operation of complex production partsExperienced with metal (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum) machiningExperience operating mills, lathes, drill press, and surface grinders
Essential SkillsPrevious CNC machine operation experienceAbility to read blueprints and CAD DrawingsExperience with G-CodesPrecision measuring tools and hand tool experienceHS Diploma, GED, or one year equivalent training and experience in the tradeAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with metal machiningExperience operating mills, lathes, drill press, and surface grindersProficiency in using calipers and other inspection toolsProficient in blueprint reading
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
