Job Responsibilities:
 
Working in a high-volume production environment, you will:Read and Interpret blueprintsSetup CNC lathes according to the dimensions and tolerances specified by the blueprintPerform first-off inspection after setup, and perform quality checks routinely throughout a production run in order to maintain a high quality part using various measurement tools (Vernier caliper, gauges, shadowgraph, visual)Operate CNC lathes performing various machining processes such as: drilling, turning, threading Maintain incoming/outgoing material from the machining cellEnter daily production into MES (manufacturing execution system)Perform pre-operational safety checks on your equipment and within your work area equipment and maintain work area including housekeeping, data reporting, tool changesUses pins, calipers, micrometers, other measuring tools and equipment as requiredParticipate in Continuous Improvement measuresRegard Safety as a high priorityPerform other tasks as required and assigned
Skills:

You will possess the following qualifications/attributes:Knowledge of Fanuc and Okuma controlsBlueprint readingStrong Math skillsUse of measuring toolsExperience working in a lean manufacturing environmentExperience working in a unionized environmentComputer skills (Microsoft Office) 
Shift WorkCandidates must be able to adapt to 8, 10 or 12 hour shiftsCandidates must also be able to adapt to a 24/7 shift schedule.
Education and Experience:College diploma or equivalent2+ years of related experience
