CNC Machining Engineer - Early Career
**Description:** Job Description : Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control \(MFC\) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support the Machining Operations Center \(MOC\) located within our Orlando, FL campus\. The MOC specializes in producing ultra\-precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro\-optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications\. Responsibilities may include one or more of the following: \- Create work instructions detailing the appropriate equipment, methods, special processes, tools and fixturing required to manufacture our complex components\. \- Design of special tools and fixtures required to support manufacturing\. \- Provide manufacturing floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues\. \- Perform Root Cause analysis and implement effective Corrective Action to address quality related issues\. \- Investigate, propose, and implement technology to reduce costs and/or improve quality\. \- Utilize CAM software for CNC programming \- Perform other duties as assigned\. **Basic Qualifications:** \-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering \- Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks \- Experience and/or interest with CNC machines, mills, or lathes through internships or University work The candidate must be a US citizen\. **Desired Skills:** Desired skills : \- Experience with CNC machines \- Experience with production manufacturing \- Lean Six Sigma \- G\-code \- Root Cause Analysis \- Interest in metal machining, tooling, and the processes used to manufacture machined precision components \- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products \- Windchill **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
