CNC Machining Programmer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develops programs and fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other manual machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.).
· Partners with Engineering to design and build fixtures.
· Coaches/instructs machine operators in proper set-up and run procedures for new parts.
· Creates machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.
· Responsible for machining parts to print, adjusting tool offsets and checking own work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5-7 years of Machine Shop experience preferred
· Technical School certificate/degree preferred.
· Experience programming or using the following technologies:
“C” axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes
Haas controls and G & M codes.
GibbsCam programming software.
AutoDesk Vault drafting software.
o Mill’s “A” axis a plus.
·Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions.
·Ability to identify common raw materials, proper tooling and work-holding devices
·Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders).
·Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast paced shop environment.
·Regularly required to stand, bend and reach and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
