If you are a Technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our Sidney, OH location, you will be responsible for the operation and basic troubleshooting of CNC equipment and automation to meet safety, quality, cost, and production goals. Support all manufacturing and maintenance groups as needed. Direct and develop hourly employees within the area and take ownership of 5S activities and line reliability.

AS A CNC MACHINING TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:

Be held accountable for safety, quality, cost, and production goals while running the lineStart-up and operate CNC equipment, automation equipment and gaging equipmentReview gage traces, analyze and make needed offsets in machinesChange inserts, drills, and endmillsConduct PM’s on tool work-holding, change when neededPerform model changesConduct initial troubleshooting of production issues and repair if capable. Maintain uninterrupted product flow through the line.Take direction from and collaborate with leadership to mitigate downtimeActively participate in GEMBA walks (whiteboards)Direct hourly employees working within the areaPerform machine coordinator and gage operator duties as neededActively engage and participate in 5S and Kaizen events and help identify improvement opportunities

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

Minimum of 6 months experience in CNC machining or trade schoolingKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of basic machining practicesBasic understanding of gaging practicesStrong analytical and technical skillsAbility to perform machine coordinator and gage operator dutiesTeam player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers, and hourly workforceAbility to flex work schedule based on needs of operationLegal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

Associate or Technical Degree and (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceCNC machining experience in production environmentAutomation experience with robotics in production environment
