Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC mills and lathes, performing code editing at the machine, and ensuring quality inspection of first and last pieces. This position requires working off of prints and using micrometers and calipers.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate different CNC mills and lathesPerform code editing at the machineConduct first and last piece quality inspectionWork off of printsUtilize micrometers and calipersIf working on the Vertical Mill: perform set ups (5/day), edit programming at the machine using G&M code, handle parts mostly ranging from 4 to 26 inches in size and ½ to 2.5 inches in thicknessIf working on the CNC Lathe: perform shaft work, use Siemens controls, set up and perform tooling changesEssential SkillsExperience with CNC mills and lathesAbility to perform set ups and code editing at the machineProficiency in using micrometers and calipers2 years of experience in CNC set up and running mills and lathesAbility to read and work off of blueprintsExperience with first and last piece quality inspectionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Okuma and Fanuc controls for Vertical MillsExperience with DMG machines and Siemens controls for CNC LathesProficiency in manual machining and tooling changesWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is for the 2nd shift, working from 2:30 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime available after the shift. There is also a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 9:30 pm. The role is based in a large facility equipped with various CNC machines, including 1 vertical mill, 1 horizontal mill, 1 hybrid manual lathe, as well as some milling, drilling, and broaching machines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00
