**CNC Machinist** **Newberg, OR** **$25 per hour - $33 per hour** This position operates multiple moderately complex machinery for production parts and basic fabrication tasks within assigned area under minimal supervision. Works with established instructions and support from the Unit Specialist or trainer. The position is responsible for set-up, operation and troubleshooting various manual/CNC machines, secondary machinery and polish equipment. Responsibilities: + Operate various secondary, manual machinery, CNC machinery and perform activities within assigned area with moderate supervision including Bridgeport, single turret CNC lathes, vertical CNC mills, CNC brakes, and CNC punch press. + Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning. + Safely and efficiently route parts using material handling equipment. + Inspect personal production to achieve and maintain quality standards and may make recommendations for improvement. + Actively engage and participate in department continuous improvement efforts. Implement improvements to processes, programs, tooling, and fixturing. + Work collaboratively within the team to maintain a neat and organized work station. + Achieve and maintain productivity standards, follow all safety guidelines, and maintain an acceptable dependability level. + Understand and complete documentation needed to comply with policies and procedures that are appropriate for the position. + Follow safety guidelines, must not pose a risk to self or others, identify potential safety hazards and initiate corrective action when necessary. + Actively participate in all department, quarterly, and company meetings. + Perform other duties as assigned (refer to the job family and skills matrix). Environment / Shift: + Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and /or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc. + Machinist III (Day Shift – Automatic Machining – Mon – Thursday; 5:00am – 3:30 pm) - Press Brake. + Machinist II (Swing Shift - Automatic Machining – Mon- Thru; 3:20 pm – 1:50 am) - CNC Mill. + Machinist II (Weekend Shift - Automatic Machining – Fri - Sun; 5:00 am – 5:30 pm) - CNC Lathe or Mill.
