**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** General CNC Machinist Mill & Lathe and 5 Axis positions needed. Current Shift Opening: B shift – 10 hours M-Th 7:30 pm-6:00 am ($1 shift premium). ** Training will take place on 1st shift for 30-90 days before moving to Nights. You will operate 3 or 5 Axis CNC mills or lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to customer process documentation. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. You will correctly set up jobs on assigned machines, which involves tool changes. Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment according to process documentation. Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications. Perform operator maintenance. Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. You will focus on the HMPT department, which makes parts for a defense company. GD&T, gauging, and measuring are all important aspects in this department. Mills Department: - CNC Machinist- Mill - Haas Mill - DMG Mill (5 axis) Lathe Department: - Citizen Swiss Lathe Grinder Department: - OD/ID Grinding There is NO programming involved by the machinists in the shop; that is handled by the Process Engineers. **Hard Skills** + CNC Machinist + Set-ups + Blueprint Reading **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. **Work Environment** This is a job shop machining center for the Aerospace industry. The runs will be anywhere from 20-70 pieces.
