Company Job Title: **CNC Machinist** Location: **Berwick, PA** Department: **Machine Shop** Reports To: **Machine Shop Supervisor** FLSA Status: **Full time Non-Exempt** _Summary:_ + Candidate must machine product utilizing CNC machining centers according to company or customer drawings and specifications. + This role will report directly to Machine Shop Supervisor _Duties and Responsibilities:_ + Operation of CNC lathes and mills + Inspects output for quality and documents or discards defects. + Exhibit safe work habits adhering to all PPE and OSHA requirements for assigned area. + Must report to work at scheduled time every day + Be in your work area and prepared to begin work at the start of your shift + Maintains a safe and clean workstation and maintains housekeeping throughout the building. + Monitors production, adjusting programming and other settings as necessary. + Must have own machinist tools. + Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. + Other duties as assigned _Minimum Qualifications_ _:_ (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) + Vocational Training or three years’ experience as a CNC machinist is preferred. + High School graduate, or general education degree preferred + Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, and instructions to ensure accurate production. + Ability to machine product in accordance with customer or company drawings and specifications and maintain minimum production standards. + Communication skills _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Ability to perform basic math + Must have ability to utilize Manufacturing System to scan time card and labor tickets + Ability to work with minimal supervision. + Mechanically inclined and have the ability to work with your hands + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to maintain a clean work environment + Ability to work overtime as required + Must have the ability perform your own machine set-ups + Must have knowledge of machinist measuring tools and ability to perform quality checks _Physical Demands:_ (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee **to successfully perform the essential functions of this job** . Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) + Employee is regularly required to talk and hear. + Employee is regularly required to stand, lift, stoop, and walk for 5 hours at a time, without breaks. + Employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. + Employee must have the ability to work with their hands to load parts and set-up machine. + Employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours a day. + Employee is required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses at all times. Must have the ability to wear hearing protection when in production areas that require it. + Employee is required to be on site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities. + Requires daily face-to-face interaction with co-workers on production floor. _Work Environment:_ (The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.) + The employee will normally work on the production floor and may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
