Bearon Manufacturing is looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team in our climate-controlled environment in Landisville, PA! On 3rd shift you will receive a 12.5% shift premium! As an experienced CNC Machinist with 5 years in the field, you’ll play a vital role in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Machines. You will also perform advanced setup operations; and adjust, program and operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work. May set up machines for and instruct other operators. The experienced candidate must possess a mechanical aptitude, have the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications with the ability to work independently. Sets-up, operates, and adjusts computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches, threads, faces, reams, and occasional profiling and contouring of metal and/or plastic parts. Checks parts for conformance to specifications by utilizing measurement and gaging devices. Operator may run more than one unit simultaneously. Additional duties as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and operate CNC machines to make parts to customer specifications Quality control and inspection of parts Conduct routine machine maintenance, adhering to safety protocols Documentation and reporting of production records and machine reports Work as part of a team and identify improvements to the optimize machining techniques, programs, etc.COMPETENCIES:
High School or equivalent degree required; trade school (can be in mechanics, auto, manufacturing etc.) preferred Must have a minimum of 5 years experience operating CNC machines Mechanical aptitude Ability to develop programming skills Great attitude and attendance Ability to use hand tools and read blue prints Ability to use measuring tools and shop mathematics Ability to stand for 8 hours Ability to lift up to 70 pounds over the course of a shift Willingness to learn new things Experienced CNC operator a plus Metal manufacturing industry preferred The Dixon Group is committed to protecting the privacy rights of its employees and job applicants to the fullest extent required by applicable law.
