CNC Machinist
**CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking two experienced CNC Machinists for our 1st shift (5am-1:30pm) in a large machine shop in Santa Ana. One position will focus on mill setup and the other on lathe setup. This role involves setting up and operating CNC Lathes or Mills for short to mid-run production. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC Lathes or Mills for short to mid-run production. + Read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances. + Machine parts to tolerances of .005 (Standard). + Check parts using calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy. + Set up and operate multiple machines, performing 1-3 setups as needed. + Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications, tolerances, and materials. + Implement instructions and programs using independent judgment. + Plan and accomplish tasks, potentially directing and leading the work of others. + Participate in and/or provide continuous training for all machines and tooling. + Maintain and track all parts and tooling required for production, including repair, cleaning, and purchased goods. + Complete all necessary operations and record on shop routers as required. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Lathes or Mills. + Experience with CNC machining, including lathe and mill operations. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerances. + Skilled in using calipers and micrometers for precise measurements. + Experience with CNC programming, particularly with Mastercam. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in running multiple machines and performing multiple setups. + Ability to use various tooling and measurement instruments. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. + Experience with Okuma, Doosan, and Hass machines is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and busy CNC machine shop where you can expand your skills and grow your career. The work environment is a very busy CNC machine shop equipped with about 15-20 CNC lathes, including Okuma and Doosan lathes, as well as 7 CNC Mills.
