Cnc Machinist
Aerotek
Can be tasked with machining any number of aerospace and rocket parts. Could be nuts and bolts, or full components thrust chambers. Will be working with multiple different materials like copper, aluminum, steel, hard carbon, etc...
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Machine high quality parts
• Read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions
• Inspect and document one’s own manufactured parts
• Perform machine set ups for part manufacturing
• Perform edits as needed
• Abide by all safety standards
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
• Keep all work areas clean and organized
• Hold oneself to a high standard of quality, taking pride in one’s work
• Be available to work 1st or 2nd shifts, overtime as needed

Ideally looking for Level 3 Machinists, which line up to the qualifications below
Required
• Min. 6+ years experience as a CNC Machinist. NEED TO HAVE 4 AND 5 AXIS MILL AND LATHE EXPERIENCE
• Needs to have Mazak experience and preferrably Mazatrol conversational programming, or DMG Mori experience with Celos conversational programming
• Experience working with multiple materials to produce high tolerance complex components/parts
• Able to perform physically demanding work—standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly
• Strong experience with machine set ups, change overs, tooling edits, and conversational programming
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Good math skills
• Solid computer skills
Desired
• Mazak experience
• 4 and 5 axis machine experience
• Mill/Turn experience
• DMG Mori experience
• Okuma experience

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $46.00
