**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of CNC machinery in a fast-paced, high changeover environment. This position offers the opportunity for growth into setup/programmer roles and to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
**Responsibilities**
+ Setup and operate CNC lathes, millers, multi-turret machines, mill-turn machines, and Swiss machines (Eurotech mill turn, HAAS, Okuma)
+ Perform inspections and offset machines
+ Change off tools and run multiple machines at once
+ Understand and execute changeovers efficiently
+ Read blueprints and inspect work using Standard Measurement Test Equipment (SMTE)
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC lathes, multi-turret machines, and mill-turn machines (HAAS, Okuma)
+ Proficiency in G-Code programming
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Strong blueprint reading skills
+ Experience with Standard Measurement Test Equipment (SMTE)
+ Must be a US citizen
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with specialty metals
+ Inventory control skills
+ Knowledge of Fanuc systems
+ Experience with 5-axis milling machines

**Work Environment**
Our facility is a 30,000 square foot space equipped with modern CNC machinery, testing stations, docks, and research and development equipment. The work environment is fast-paced with a mix of old and new machines. We provide ample parking, good lighting, and handicap accessibility. The goal is for machinists to grow into setup/programmers, with regular evaluations and potential pay raises after six months.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VERNON, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00
