Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming on a laptop and at the machine, setting up CNC mills and lathes, and running batches of 50-80 parts for internal components of our lift assist systems.
ResponsibilitiesProgram CNC machines using Solidworks and Camlink (Mazak conversational programming).Set up CNC mills and lathes, including Haas 3 & 4 axis, and new 5 axis twin spindle with Smart AI controls.Run production batches of 50-80 parts.Work with various materials including aluminum bar stock, aluminum castings, mild steels, and plastic varieties.Read blueprints and interpret design/print specifications.Build fixtures as needed for new setups.Essential SkillsProficiency in programming using Solidworks or Camlink.Experience with CNC mill and lathe machine setup and changeover.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsInterest in 3D printing (3D printers available in the shop).Experience with honing (ID finishing).Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a machine shop where candidates should be comfortable working in a louder environment and not afraid to get their hands dirty. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time of either 6am or 8am, totaling 40-45 hours per week. Dress code is casual.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00
