Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of CNC experience utilizing Mastercam. As an integral part of the design and engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of the cutter path programs for all machine shop CNC equipment, utilizing Mastercam software in conjunction with CAD designs and the appropriate CNC mill tooling. You will also be responsible for the proper set-up and operation of CNC equipment to meet customer expectations and company objectives.
ResponsibilitiesWork up front with part and mold designers to assure best machining conditions.Work with the machine shop team to plan and supply materials for mold production.Download and convert part and mold design files into CAM compatible files.Create cutter path programs for CNC machines, Bridgeport's etc.Create set-up sheets, tool lists, and operator instructions as required.Participate in all part and mold design review meetings for milestone reviews.Develop CNC programs utilizing design standards and CNC machine specifications.Assist in the establishment and maintenance of best practices for CNC Programming and mill work.Ensure tool shop safety by adhering to all safety policies.Properly set up and operate CNC equipment.Perform CNC Equipment PM processes in accordance with department procedures.Carry out other tool shop duties as needed to meet customer demand and/or company objectives.Essential Skills3 years of CNC Machine Operation experience.Ability to set up, operate, and program CNC machines.Understanding of 3-D renderings and models.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Solidworks.Knowledge of machine operating, grinding, shear, mechanical, and machining.Familiarity with mill and lathe machines.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility is nice, clean, and up-to-date. We have two break rooms, one recently updated with a TV, free coffee, and free fountain machines. Vending machines are available for purchasing food. The plant is not temperature controlled and can get warm due to the injection molding machines. We keep large shipping doors open on cool days to help cool down the plant.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, Michigan.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
