CNC Machinist
**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machinist to perform various machining processes and programming on a variety of machine tools. You will be working with materials such as mild steel and aluminum, ensuring tolerances are maintained from +/- .5 to +/- .005. The shop primarily utilizes Mazak and Haas CNCs with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls. **Responsibilities** + Gather all documentation needed to perform the job and verify that revision levels are current and match. + Operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders. + Pull and prepare raw material to be ready for the next job, clean and deburr the material as needed. + Operate drill presses, honing machines, hydraulic presses, and other equipment to perform secondary operations. + Perform mechanical inspections to verify parts meet engineering specifications. + Perform routine preventative maintenance on various machine shop tools. + Perform light assembly as needed. + Assist all cell team members as needed to ensure team goals are met. + Perform all CNC machine tool setups with assistance from CNC Journey Level Machinists. + Perform minor editing of the CNC program and communicate changes to the programmer. + Initiate process improvements including fixture design, tooling upgrades, and work with other support team members to implement changes. + Operate other manual machine tools as necessary and perform any secondary operations to complete the process in its entirety. + Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems. + Take on new responsibilities as required. **Essential Skills** + 3 to 5+ years of machining experience. + Horizontal mill experience. + Strong knowledge of GD&T. + Ability to perform set-ups. + Live tooling experience. + Experience reading blueprints and schematics. + Experience with 3-5 axis machines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + MasterCAM knowledge. + Experience with CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, and grinding. + Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools. + Experience with Mazak, Haas, Fanuc, and Mitsubishi controls. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a High Deductible Health Plan with accompanying Health Savings Account (HSA) and company contribution, Medical and Vision Insurance, 100% Company Paid Dental Insurance, Life and Short Term/Long Term Disability Insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). We encourage employees to bring their own precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.), though tools will be lent if necessary, with a 90-day period allowed for employees to purchase their own. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Newberg, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $64064.00 - $68640.00 Great company benefits including dental, vision and medical.
