**Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes in a job shop environment. You will work with a variety of machinery, making edits to programs, performing live tool changes, and ensuring the quality of parts produced through precise measurements and inspections. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes. + Set up tooling, adjust speeds and feeds, perform program edits, offsets, changeovers, and fixtures. + Run first piece and conduct first piece inspections on parts. + Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and zolars. + Operate machines including mills, lathes, and mill-turn from 3-axis to 5-axis machines. + Read G&M codes and make necessary edits to the machine. + Read blueprints and check parts according to blueprints. + Work on varying run times, from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours in a job shop environment. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of CNC Machining experience on multi-axis CNC machines (5-axis). + Proficiency in program edits utilizing G&M codes. + Experience in performing live tool changes and offsets. + Knowledge of operating 5-axis and 3-axis machines. + Experience with lathes and mills. + Ability to read blueprints and perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. + High School Diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of GD&T. + CNC programming experience. **Why Work Here?** Our facility is clean, well-lit, air-conditioned, and temperature-controlled. Must be open to some overtime, with machinists working an average of 46 hours per week. Current openings include: B1 Shift (Mon-Thurs 3pm-1am; $1.25/hour shift premium), D Shift (Fri-Sat-Sun 5am-5pm; $2.00/hour shift premium; work 36 hours, pay for 40 hours), D Shift (Fri-Sat-Sun 5pm-5am; $3.00/hour shift premium; work 36 hours, pay for 40 hours).
