Job Description
A company that specializes in custom valves and actuators is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist. The successful candidate will operate an Okuma Machine (U4000 model) with Okuma controls and will be responsible for machining parts ranging from 1/2\" to 24\" OD. The materials machined include 718 inconel, titanium grade 5 and 12, all chromes, carbon steel, and duplex. Tight tolerances of +/- .001 must be maintained. Proficiency in reading blueprints and familiarity with datum points in GD&T are essential. The machinist will set up and edit their own machine.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain the Okuma Machine (U4000 model) with Okuma controls.Machine parts ranging from 1/2\" to 24\" OD.Work with materials including 718 inconel, titanium grade 5 and 12, all chromes, carbon steel, and duplex.Maintain tight tolerances of +/- .001.Read blueprints and be familiar with datum points in GD&T.Perform setups and edits on the machine.Keep machines in proper working order, including maintaining oil levels and coolant.Treat machines with care and ensure they are in optimal condition.Essential Skills5+ years of experience setting up, operating, and editing CNC Lathe with Okuma controls.Experience with calipers, micrometers, and MOB's (mic over ball measuring tool).Ability to perform own edits and setups.Experience working with +/- .001 tolerances.Ownership of all necessary tools.Proficiency in reading blueprints.Willingness to cross-train on other machines.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience running a CNC machine with live tooling.Experience setting up, operating, and editing CNC Mills.Experience working on valves or actuators.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a 2nd shift position. Candidates will work either an 8, 10, or 12-hour shift depending on prior week's productivity. Shift hours are 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM, or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. A $3/hour shift differential is provided.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00
