**Hiring CNC Machinist in Portland OR area $20-28HR**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will set up and run mills, inspect first-run products, and maintain consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves working closely with Quality Control, making fixtures and clamps as needed, machining parts to ensure accuracy, and performing secondary operations such as tapping and deburring.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and run mills.
+ Inspect first-run products and make adjustments in collaboration with Quality Control.
+ Inspect parts during manufacturing to maintain consistent quality.
+ Make fixtures and clamps for jobs as needed.
+ Machine parts and compare to blueprints to ensure accuracy.
+ Perform secondary operations such as tapping and deburring.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of machining experience with CNC mills or lathes.
+ Experience in performing set-ups (1-4 setups a day).
+ Ability to make minor edits on machines using Fanuc Controls.
+ Proficiency with vertical and horizontal mills.
+ Ability to inspect parts and read blueprints.
+ Strong attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Own precision measuring tools.
+ Ability to read written instructions.
+ Ability to work independently.

**Work Environment**
Work in an air-conditioned machine shop. Available shifts include Days (Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm), Swing (Monday - Thursday 4:15pm - 2:45am), and Weekend (Friday - Sunday 5am - 5:30pm).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HILLSBORO, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
