**Hiring CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for performing various machining processes and programming on a variety of machine tools. Our machining materials include mild steel and aluminum, with tolerances ranging from +/- .5 to +/- .005. The shop primarily runs Mazak and other CNCs with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls. **Responsibilities** + Gather all necessary documentation to perform the job, ensuring revision levels are current and match. + Operate mills, lathes, and surface grinders. + Prepare raw material for the next job, including cleaning and deburring as needed. + Operate drill presses, honing machines, hydraulic presses, and other tools to perform secondary operations. + Perform mechanical inspections to verify parts meet engineering specifications. + Conduct routine preventative maintenance on various machine shop tools. + Perform light assembly as needed. + Assist all cell team members to ensure team goals are met. + Perform CNC machine tool setups with assistance from CNC Journey Level Machinists. + Edit CNC programs and communicate changes to the programmer. + Initiate process improvements, including fixture design and tooling upgrades, and work with support team members to implement them. + Operate other manual machine tools as necessary. + Complete any secondary operations necessary to complete the process in its entirety. + Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems. + Take on new responsibilities as required. **Essential Skills** + Experience with CNC Horizontal or Vertical Mill or Lathe + Strong knowledge of GD&T + Experience reading blueprints and schematics + Ability to perform setups + 3 to 5+ years of machining experience + Experience with 3-5 axis machines + Live tooling experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Horizontal mill experience + Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools + MasterCAM experience is a plus **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including a High Deductible Health Plan with accompanying Health Savings Account (HSA) and company contribution, Medical and Vision Insurance, 100% Company Paid Dental Insurance, Life and Short Term/Long Term Disability Insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401k with a company match, supplemental insurance coverage, and Tuition Reimbursement/Education Assistance opportunities. **Work Environment** Clean Machine Shop Environment.
