Job Title: 1st Shift Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machinist to join our team. As a global manufacturer of high-quality welding, cutting, and joining solutions, we are looking for an individual who can handle multiple setups per shift and machine a variety of parts including weldments, block work of all sizes, flame/grind plates, and pins. This position operates on a Monday through Thursday schedule, ensuring timely production while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesPerform multiple setups per shift to machine various parts including weldments, block work, flame/grind plates, and pins.Set up and operate HAAS VMC’s and other machinery.Read and interpret blueprints and understand basic GD&T call-outs.Inspect work for conformance to specifications and maintain minimal re-work or scrap.Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.Keep the work area clean and organized.Accurately use standard machinist measuring tools and set up and run one-off parts efficiently.Maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Essential Skills5-7 years minimum experience as a machinist.Experience with mill, lathe, and micrometer.Prior experience setting up and operating HAAS VMC’s.Good knowledge base and understanding of M and G code programming.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Understanding of basic GD&T call-outs.Ability to set up and run one-off parts efficiently.Excellent attention to detail and quality.Additional Skills & QualificationsProgramming experience is a plus.Ability to work well under pressure.Excellent team player with strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to independently set up and operate a 5-axis CNC machine.Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00
