**CNC Machinist IV** **Job Title** Machinist 4 **South County San Diego!** **D** **ay to day responsibilities/ Equipment** • Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment. • Performs all work in accordance with Standard Work and drawing specifications without assistance. • Follows specification of inspections as noted. Dimensionally checks and tests production to insure product output meets quality requirements indicated on dimensional drawings, inspection forms using AQL sample size. • Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools. • Performs all machine set-ups and make minor machine/program adjustments without assistance. • Trains other employees in basic and complex machine operator techniques. • Performs operational checks to ensure departmental tools, fixtures & equipment are in good working condition. • Update production status boards, execute and update & communicate hourly performance results. • Train new hires on standard work and inhouse procedures • Assist Leads and performs additional task as needed related to department goals **Additional Skills & Qualifications** - troubleshoot (for example: dimension wise there will be dimensional call outs that they need to hold.) - Going into program and altering z y and x values in order to produce quality part. • Relevant experience in setting up Vertical /Horizontal CNC Milling Machines. • Familiar with and basic knowledge of Mastercam / Solid works • Solid understanding of machine controls using Haas / Fanuc CNC equipment • Ability to navigate through set ups with little to no assistance. • Experience in precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools. • Solid knowledge in G & M CNC codes • Strong interpersonal skill to assist in training requirements • Work with Technicians, Leads & Supervision to diagnose and solve production related issues - Basic math - Lean Manufacturing - Lean 6 sigma **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
