CNC Machinist
**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining centers as well as manual lathe and milling centers. You will be expected to adjust tool and fixture offsets, interpret work instructions, and use precision measuring equipment to ensure the production of high-quality parts. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC machining centers and manual lathe and milling centers. + Adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve documented material tolerances. + Read and interpret work instructions and product/component drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances. + Follow work order instructions and accurately record task times. + Use precision measuring equipment to check parts in accordance with engineering documents. + Keep work area and machines cleaned and serviced regularly. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of machining experience in moderate to high volume production environments. + 1-2 years of programming experience preferred; experience with MasterCam is a plus. + Experience in setting up, operating, and adjusting both manual and CNC lathe machining centers. + Proficiency in inspecting parts using micrometers, gage pins, thread gauges, digital/analog indicators, surface plates, calipers, and other tools. + Ability to read and comprehend production Bill of Materials and production orders. + Ability to use production drawings and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. + Strong verbal communication skills. + Team player, professional, driven to first-time accuracy, and able to work under pressure without creating workplace disruptions. + Reliable and self-motivated. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with MasterCam (preferred). + Strong verbal communication skills. + Must be a team player and professional. + Ability to work under pressure without creating workplace disruptions. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, vision, dental, and a 401K plan with retirement match. The dress code is typically casual but must adhere to safety standards. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
